Norcal teams at Doublepump Hoopfest

I was in So-Cal this past weekend and I got a chance to evaluate players from Nor-Cal who attended with their teams. The most notable teams with top Nor-Cal players were Top Flight Elite and Splash City Esface Elite both played in the 17u open.

Top Flightt's Roy Yuan 6'0 pt guard/ shooter from St Francis is going to be one of the top shooting guards in the wcal. Roy is going to make open shots, he's working on penetrating off the dribble and finishing when he attacks the basket. Roy's foot speed and lateral movement on defense are area's he's working to improve on this spring and summer.

Kiran Kruse 6'4 wing from Bellarmine. Kiran was trying to show he can shoot and consistently knock down the three point shot , he had some success. He was a bit overmatched guarding bigs in the post area, but he's a tough competitor who gives good effort all the time.

Anthony Landphere 6'6 forward from St Francis. Anthony has good foot work and is very active trying to make his presence felt whenever he's on the court. Showed some inside out ability playing around the basket and stepping out to shoot mid range.

Splash City's Will Chaverin 6'3 guard from Bishop O'Dowd is showing his combo guard abilities with this team. Will handles the the ball in transition, sets the offense and has shown the ability to be a scorer at the off guard position.

Max Anderson 5'11 point guard from Moreau Catholic, Max is always lurking around, you never know where he's going to come from and get a steal. Max run the offesense as well as any point guard, he can attack the basket and finish as well as kick it out to a shooter, he's quick and makes it look easy.

Leonard Turner 6'5 wing from Moreau Catholic. I've been watching Leonard for a while now. He has made the choice, he wants to play at the next level. Good body type, he's playing with more energy running the court in transition and finishing around the basket.

West Coast Xtreme of San Jose traveled to the Hoopfest to get some experience playing against quality aau programs in So-cal. The 2-2 record showed that this team can compete and will improve as the summer progresses and they go to Vegas in July.

Mahmoud Fofana 6'4 wing from Santa Teresa . Mahmoud is a 2020. At 6'4 and still growing, Mahmoud has wing spand, can jump and his game is going to improve as he gets used to playing in more competitive tournaments in Vegas this July.
