Wright's Basketball Report From The Central Valley

Veterans Day was an opportunity for me to take a drive to Fresno CA, to see prospects in the Central California area perform with their high school teams. The 6 team scrimmage was hosted by Clovis West who has Cole Anderson 6'3 2021 prospect who already has a couple of DI offers and Max Phillips a 6'5 2020 prospect. Anderson showed off his shooting skills and all-round hard play. He had some nice drives to the basket. Phillips bring some athleticism to this team with his ability to finish around the rim.

Jaden Geron 6'7 2021 wing San Joaquin Memorial looks like a decent spot up shooter from 3 and new comer Miles Davis Jr 6'4 2023 impressed with his activity around the basket, running the floor and defending.

Bullards two standouts for the day was Justin Parks 6'8 2020 who's pretty active he, tried to dunk everything, I think he had 4, or 5 dunks in one game. He's got a good body on him and he moves good. He plays with some energy at times. Omarian Thomas Marshall 6'3 2021. A solid body prospect had good drives from the wing and played solid defense.

Hoover had a couple of standouts who caught my attention. A.J George 6'4 2021 ball handler my first look at George, he's definitely a big guard with point guard tendencies, I'll have to see more of him in the future. Z.J. Cotton 5'9 2023 is another prospect I'm seeing for the first time, he has a good understanding of the game and he's fast, and has good body control.

Edison really grabbed my attention with their style of play. This team can go deep into its bench. They might be able to make playoff run if they can stay disciplined. 6'3 Obadiah Curtis 2020 is a solid guard with good handles and speed with the ball, he's capable of doing good things for this team. Avery Johnson III 6'5 wing 2021, showed his all around game, he's a prospect to keep an eye on. Athletic, can shoot from 3, gets to the rim and can defend.

Clovis East had a couple of decent prospect. I was unable to get more information on this team.
