Wright's Basketball Report, Mahmoud Fofana Putting up Big Numbers

The BVAL Mt Hamilton division might have one of it's most dominant prospects to have come along in the last couple of years. Mahmoud Fofana 6'5 senior from Santa Teresa High School San Jose CA. He's been putting up numbers that indicates this. Fofana, A long armed wiry prospect with exceptional athletic ability. He's very difficult to contain in the open court when he rebounds and pushes in transition, he makes good decisions with the ball, and is a good passer. His ball handling, and speed enables him to get into the lane where he rises over defenders and uses his long reach to score baskets. He's got a quick second jump on tips, rebounds that allow him to rack up points in the key. He's averaging 24.3 pts, 15 rebs, and 6blks per game. Santa Teresa's overall record is 12-2 for the season and 3-0 in league, mainly because of the play of Fofana, who is now being double teamed as coaches try to game plan for one of the top unsigned 2020 prospects in the area.

Mahmoud spent the Spring and Summer playing with West Coast Xtreme an aau organization, based out of San Jose CA. A team that traveled to Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, competing in top Showcase events and tournaments, WCE, Pangos, and BigFoot events.

Mahmoud has a 3.5 gpa, and has started to get attention from college coaches with the way he's playing and the numbers he's putting up.
