Wright's Basketball Report Weekly Review

This past week I continued my weekly visit to gyms around NorCal to evaluate prospects, who I think played good basketball while I was in attendance. Here's a few prospects that stood out.

Justice Owens 5'9 2021 prospect, Pioneer HS.

Owens has steadily improved his floor leadership and is the lead guard on this team. His ball handling skills are solid, he has good court vision , and can get to the basket on the drive. He can create his own shot an is a solid 3 point shooter.

Jordan Bright 5'9 2021 guard Branham HS

Bright shows that he can effectively run an offense. He has good handles, patience and is a good passer. He needs to be more efficient on the drive and midrange.

Brock Susko 6'3 2021 guard Los Altos

A good guard with size who can handle the point guard position. He's probably more of a combo right now, but he played well attacking from all angles and finishing with strong drives to the hoop. He was a top scorer in his game with 18 points.

Nico D' Augusta 6'2 2022 guard Los Altos

a good prospect who has gone unnoticed most of the season. He has good body control and can get to the rim without much of an opening. He's a slasher with good instincts and makes good decisions on the court.

Danny Brathwaite 5'8 2021 guard Homestead

a speedy guard with good handles and the shiftiness to get to the basket from most angles on the court, including the baseline. He has a decent mid-range shot. He plays with a certain degree of confidence.

Jadon Clay 6'1 2020 guard Leigh

clay is a prospect I'm seeing for the first time. He's a good solid handler of the offense, looks for players coming off the curl or screen for shots and likes to use the back door pass against defenders that over play. He seems to be a pass first guard.

Holden Kieslich 6'0 2020 guard Willow Glen

Kieslich is quietly putting together a solid senior season for the Rams. He's been a consistent player . He's a speedy guard who can attack and finish with contact. He's a ball mover, and he moves well without the ball. The lefty can knock down a 3.

Arrish Bhandal 6'9 2021 F/C, Mitty. He was a key player in the Monarchs victory over rival Bellarmine. His presence on the defensive end made it tough for the Bells to score points inside. He was active going after blocks and rebounds. This could be a turning point for Bhandal.

Aidan Burke 6'3 2022 guard, Mitty. Burke gave the Monarchs quality minutes off the bench. He scored 8 points. Late in the game he came up a key basket and a timely steal.
