Saturday's Standouts At The City Championships

The City Championships held at SF City College in San Francisco Ca. featured all the top grassroots programs in Nor Cal and some upstart programs trying to get some prospect exposure. Here are some standouts from Saturday's competition.

Red & Black 17 has players mostly from Salesian College Prep. This team went 2-0 in Saturdays action. The top players were 6'3 2020 Shane Bell and 6'9 2021 Demarshay Johnson. It looks like Bell is going to be one of the top players in Nor Cal. Demarshays presence in the middle and shot blocking ability makes him a top prospect in the 2021 Class.

West Coast Xtreme Elite Purple with players from San Jose went 1-1 on the day. Mahmoud Fofana 6'4 2020 and Jared Johnson 5'11 2020 both of the players attend Santa Teresa High School in San Jose, put together solid performances on Saturday. Mahmoud is a rising prospect to keep an eye on.

The SF Soldiers 16s had the upset of the day Knocking off Team Lillard 16u in what turned out to be a spirited contest to say the least. Lee Hubbard III, 6'2 2021 prospect from Riordan and Robert Valhola 6'5 2021 from Hillsdale HS led the way.
