USA Basketball Men's Junior National Camp

Day 2 at the USA Men's Basketball Junior National Camp in Colorado Springs. Plaza Center Session 1.

1: Stretching

2: Full court layup drills, no dunking go hard, left, then right hand finishes.

3: Rebound out let, stay wide take a few dribbles, then pass up to the corners, keep running you get it back for a transition jump shot somewhere around the elbow.

4: 4x4 drills, Start with active feet, being in position to help, vision, hand up going out on shooters, drive kick.

5: Baseline drive kick to the corner, extra pass to the perimeter for a 3-point shot. First group to make 5 wins.

6: 4x3 making it tougher on the defense. Talk on defense, lateral speed, good help position, close out on shooter.

7: 3x3 one side of the half-court.

8: 4x4 screens, curls, backdoor cuts. Weak side help, fight through screens, open up,

9: 5 man on court, going over offensive play. Movement, right cuts, dribble handoff, screen down, pin down.

10: 4x4 live dribble hand off, dribble drive pass, extra pass, post get wide, set screen roll.


Approximately 75 players participate in the camp. These players made a play, defended, blocked a shot, ran the court, played good defense, knocked down open shots, hustled, played hard. rebounded, made the extra pass. They did something to get our attention on the court we were watching.
