Wright's Basketball Scouting Report at The 2018 Gridley Tournament.

As noted in my last blog. here is a follow up to some of the top players at the 2018 GIBT held in Gridley California. The McClanahans Jovon and Jaden brothers had a excellent showing, but there were other players who caught my attention. I'll start with Salesian since they won the tournament.

Shane Bell 6'3 2020 guard/wing: Salesian Prep Richmond Ca. Had an exceptional tournament scoring 22pts in the championship game against Sheldon. Shane continues to improve his overall game, he has a long slender body with long arms, athletic and has good speed. His offensive skill set is improved. Keep an eye on this prospect.

Marcus Bagley 6'8 2020 guard/forward: Sheldon High School Sacramento Ca. A top prospect in California. Has a strong and mature body, he can score from deep on the three. A good rebounder and can be the ball handler on the break, averaged 20pts 10rebs in two games.

Viktor Rajkovic 6'5 2019 forward: Branson High School From Ross. The top scorer in the 3 game event averaged 20pts, 10rebs in the two games I evaluated. A shooter with range, form and drives to the basket well, he had a couple of nice baseline drives to the bucket. He can come off screens and spot up. He's got a solid body and can get rebounds.

Je'Lani Clark 6'3 2020 guard: Riordan San Francisco: This prospect continues to empress in the early season. This tournament he averaged 16pts, 7rebs. He demonstrates that he can be a dynamic scorer, he can play either guard position, he plays hard and through contact, he displays various finishing move around the basket including a floater. A good rebounding guard for this team. One of Nor Cals top 2020 prospects.

Brett Thompson 5'10 2019 point guard: James Logan High School Union City Ca.

No team in Nor Cal has played a tougher preseason schedule than Logan. Brett continues to play every minute of the game on Go. He doesen't seem to get tired, he plays hard aggressive defense and still managed to averaged 17pts for 2 games at this event. He does everything he can to help his team.
