Wright's Basketball Report Weekly Review
This past week I continued my weekly visit to gyms around NorCal to evaluate prospects, who I think played good basketball while I was in attendance. Here's a few prospects that stood out. Justice Owens 5'9 2021 prospect, Pioneer HS. Owens has steadily improved his floor leadership and is the lead guard on this team. His ball handling skills are solid, he has good court vision , and can get to the basket on the drive. He can create his own shot an is a solid 3 point shooter.

This past week I was at 5 different gyms to watch and evaluate NorCal prospects, and the teams they play on. Here is a brief summary of the games and it's prospects who got my attention. Saint Francis stuns Bellarmine 46-43. After being down by 15 pts in the first half. Isaiah Kerr 6'2 2022 combo guard led the Lancers with 15 pts, 6 rebounds and 4 steals, and Harlan Banks 6'2 2022 scored 11 pts, and was solid on defense led a second half surge to upset the previously unbeate

The final day at the GIBT wrapped up with 4 very entertaining games and lots of quality prospects performing at their best. Here's my final take of this great annual event. Dublin defeated Salesian 66-61 to win the 2019, GIBT. Anthony Roy 6'4 2020 guard was named Most Outstanding Player of the event. The 13th Annual NorCal Tip-Off Classic was held at Newark Memorial High School in Newark CA. Seven games were played. The first game started at 11:00 AM and the last game started approximately 8:30 PM. Moreau Catholic (Hayward) 58 vs St Patrick-St vincent (Vallejo) 93. Veterans Day was an opportunity for me to take a drive to Fresno CA, to see prospects in the Central California area perform with their high school teams.
